Why Meenorio Has a Donation Page
Meenorio runs on two parallel capital streams. Investors fund growth — Metabo-101 sales, expanding catalogue. Donors fund mission programmes — the work that doesn't pay back into the company's bottom line but matters for the country.
Our mission: standardize herbal medicine to be evidence-equivalent to allopathic medicine, side-effect-free, and accessible across Pakistan in every language we speak. The "accessible" and "every language" pieces don't fund themselves through bottle sales. They fund through donors.
What Donations Fund
Translations
Pakistan has 60+ million Urdu speakers, 80+ million Punjabi speakers, and 30+ million Sindhi speakers. Most diabetes content online — including ours — is in English. We're translating product information, blog content, and the diabetes-management knowledge base into Urdu, Punjabi, and Sindhi, with native-speaker review. Donor funding pays for translator + editor time.
Awareness Campaigns + Diabetes Camps
Free HbA1c testing camps in underserved communities (Lahore Old City, Karachi Lyari, rural KP and Sindh, North Punjab villages). Diagnosis is the bottleneck — most Pakistanis with pre-diabetes don't know they have it until complications appear. Donor funding pays for lab partnerships, on-site healthcare worker time, and follow-up materials.
Free Product for Low-Income Patients
Metabo-101 at retail is Rs 2,749 for a 30-day supply. For a family living below the poverty line that's not affordable. Donor funding subsidises a "patient assistance programme" — verified low-income diabetic patients receive Metabo-101 at no cost for as long as they continue daily use and report back HbA1c readings.
Research Grants
USD 1,000-per-project grants for student and faculty research aligned with the herbal-medicine-as-evidence-based-medicine mission. We fund the research, the researchers retain publication rights, and the body of independent literature grows over time. Learn more about the grants programme →
How to Donate

We publish a quarterly transparency report at this URL showing donor funds in / programme spend out, broken down by programme.
- Translation: ~60% of programme costs are translator + editor pay; ~30% native-speaker review; ~10% tooling and ops.
- Awareness Camps: ~50% lab partnership fees (HbA1c testing); ~30% on-site healthcare worker compensation; ~20% logistics and outreach materials.
- Patient Assistance: ~85% direct product cost (we ship at cost — no margin on PAP units); ~15% distribution and follow-up coordination.
- Research Grants: 100% direct grant payment to recipient researchers. Meenorio's overhead for running the programme is funded separately from investor capital.

Is Meenorio a registered non-profit?
Meenorio is a for-profit company with a non-profit-style mission programme. The donor funds are accounted for separately from the company's operating capital — donor money does not fund product development, marketing, or executive compensation. We can provide audit-ready statements on request.
Are donations tax-deductible?
It depends on your jurisdiction. LaunchGood-routed donations may be tax-deductible per LaunchGood's status. Direct bank/wire donations to Meenorio are typically NOT tax-deductible unless your local tax law allows charitable contributions to international for-profits with mission programmes (rare). We provide receipts for all donations regardless of tax status.
Can I donate Metabo-101 product instead of cash?
Yes. If you've purchased Metabo-101 and want to donate part of an unused course to the patient assistance programme, email donate@meenorio.pk — we'll arrange pickup or a verified-recipient ship-from-your-address option.
Can I designate my donation to a specific programme?
Yes. Specify in your message: "Translation," "Awareness Camps," "Patient Assistance," or "Research Grants." Designated donations are tracked separately in the quarterly report.
What's the smallest donation that's worthwhile?
PKR 500. That covers a single HbA1c test for one patient at a free testing camp.
